Channel Management Strategy
Asia Logistics Limited is equipped to guide clients through the various channels available to tap the market in each country in Asia:
- Own operation (where permissible / feasible)
- Sole agency distributor
- Multiple distributors
- Wholesalers
- 3PL’s (3rd party logistics service providers)
- Direct to retail / end user.
This is not an exhaustive list, and whatever selection of channel(s) is made, risk management and contractual issues need to be thoroughly addressed. Also, it should be noted that it is challenging to appoint a single distributor or 3PL for the whole of Asia, except in a narrow range of sectors in the more developed countries.
