Local & International Transportation
Asia has seen increasing supply chain complexity as manufacturers and buyers need to source from multiple countries, with some goods moving across a range of locations from raw material to finished product. Moreover, transport cost in Asia generally forms a much higher proportion of total logistics cost compared to the West. The physical aspects of transport can be complicated enough, but tariffs and other regulatory aspects need to be understood in order to build practicable solutions. Asia Logistics Limited has designed and implemented lower-cost and faster-operating sourcing links, most recently for an electronics manufacturer sourcing components in Taiwan and S. Korea for assembly in China.
